dear 2012,

You started out with some sadness and frustration, with yearning for more, and you're ending with lots of happiness, new beginnings and sunny skies. In the middle of all of that, you brought me strength, understanding, boats on lakes, beers and bbqs. You made me miss the one I love the most. You pushed me through till the end of my studies. I had to say goodbye to family and friends that I love so much, I had an incredible trip across our mural of a country with my lovely mother. And I said hello to purple mountains, the vast desert, and my truest love. You helped us to start a little mini family of four in our little love shack at the foot of a mountain. You gave me a new found appreciation for my job, for children, and for earnest, hard work and dedication.

Most of all, you helped me to appreciate what is most important to me. Simplicity, family, friends, love, and living and breathing life in my own way.

This universe has opened little cracks, small windows, and big doors for me in these 365 days. I've taken deep inhales and full exhales. I've cried, laughed, been angry, loved, been scared, and I'm glad it all happened.

I look forward to this new year. To finding myself and finding gratitude in the smallest things. 2013 is approaching with open arms and an open mind.

Namaste
